Carpet Recycling UK is developing its programme for the CFJ EXPO on 1st July 2021 which will see Manager Adnan Zeb-Khan taking part on the Sustainability Panel.
We will address delegates on the positioning of Carpet Recycling UK when it comes to the importance of policy, design for recycling, and developing outlets for commercial carpet waste. We will also introduce our new best practice guide which demonstrates practical points for handling commercial carpet waste for reuse and recycling.
Both CFA and CRUK members will be demonstrating how recycling is helping them on a practical level to save money on waste costs and raise their green credentials, as well as win new business.
Carpet Recycling UK was set up in 2008 as a non-profit trade association. Since then, the UK has diverted around 1.4 million tonnes from landfill of textile flooring waste, using it as a resource. With a membership of over 100 companies from across the supply chain, core funding comes from carpet companies who are taking voluntary producer responsibility, these are Balsan, Betap, Brintons, Cormar, DESSO, ege Carpets, Headlam Lifestyle Floors, Milliken and Shaw. They are conscious and aware of the amount of waste that is being produced through their manufacturing processes and the quantity they place on the market and are therefore being proactive in finding solutions through our network for their operations and customers.
“Carpet Recycling UK has long been an associate member of Contract Flooring Association and many flooring contractors within its membership. We are keen to explore ways of working with you to identify your waste streams and how we can divert even more carpet waste from landfill” says Marie Rhodes, Membership Services Manager.
